OMG==>Explosion At Golden Penny Flour Kills A Worker In Lagos

It was a tragic Monday at the Iganmu office of the Golden Penny Flour Mills Plc. in Lagos State after an explosion escalated from a boiler at the production section of the company to kill a worker identified as Folorunso Odunayo.

According to reports, the deceased worked at the engine room of the firm. Hot water contained in the boiler was said to have spilled on the worker after it reportedly exploded which led to the worker’s instant death.

It was gathered that officials of the Lagos State Fire Service, Iganmu branch, who were alerted to the incident, took the corpse away.

When contacted the company’s Secretary/Director, Alhaji Olalekan Saliu denied his presence as he said: “I am not in Lagos.”

However, confirming the incident, the company Learning Administrator, Mrs. Nike Adekoya-Saani, said that she had yet to get the details. “It happened at our Iganmu branch office. I was just informed this evening. I don’t have the full details.”

According to Director of the fire service, Mr. Rasaq Fadipe, said: “We received a call that there was an explosion at the Golden Penny Flour Mills at Eric More, Iganmu. It claimed the life of a man working inside then engine room. We handed the corpse to the police,” Mr. Fadipe said.
