TRAGIC: Dad Shoots Own 12-Year-Old Daughter While Teaching Her How To Safely Use A Gun

A young girl was taken to a hospital after she was shot by her father.

The father of, Davie, Florida, who was trying to teach his 12-year-old daughter about gun safety, ended up shooting her in the arm, police said. The incident took place on Sunday night. The father was trying to show his daughter how to shoot the gun when the gun went off. The girl was hurt, but doctors said that the injuries are not life threatening.

A neighbor saw blood running down the girl’s leg, as she walked to the ambulance.  Davie Police Sgt. Pablo Castaneda said that after interviewing the girl and her father separately, they believe that the shooting was an accident.

However, Child Protective Services is involved and the investigation is ongoing. Police refused to release the name of the father and daughter as no arrests have been made.
